There are an estimated 40 million victims of human trafficking in our world today.

That is more than any other time in history.

Pennies are the most forgotten, and the least valued in our society, but we will not forget the 40 million men, women, and children who are trafficked and exploited.

Why are we talking about pennies and people?

Because we have a lofty goal that uses change to bring freedom to the oppressed.Only a fraction of the total number of pennies are actually in circulation, which means they are not actively being used, and instead are held as collectibles and stored in jars.

How your change can help

The 40 Million Campaign’s purpose is to bring in million pennies (or other forms of change, cash, or online donations) and raise $400,000 to prevent and end human trafficking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only take pennies?

Nope! We have chosen this concept of pennies as a vehicle to encourage people to give, but at the end of the day, our goal is to raise $400,000 through this campaign whether by check, online giving, cash or coins!

How do I bring in my coins?

We encourage people to visit your bank, or a local Coinstar to move your coins into your bank account. If you are in the Lynchburg area, you are welcome to drop off coins in an enclosed jar! Call ahead to make sure we are in the office (our in-office hours are Mon-Thur, 9am-4:30pm)

I’d like my church/school/business to participate in this. How do I go about that?

We have promotional material for people in your community to participate. Contact info@freedom424.org and we will get you all set up!

How can I get my kids involved?

Many of our staff members are also parents. We love teaching our kids how to protect themselves but also protect and bring hope to others. If you have piggy banks or extra coins laying around, encourage your kids to give hope to others! Each coin represents someone who may not have the same freedom we have, but we can help change that!
